When will Amazon name HQ2 winner? Speculation swirls around release of shortlist
It appears that Austin and the 200-plus other metros competing for Amazon.com Inc.’s massive second headquarters will have to wait until early next year to find out whether they made the e-commerce behemoth’s shortlist.
Some officials involved in the search process previously anticipated that Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN) would have its list of cities and regions competing for the project whittled down to a few frontrunners by this Friday.
