Western Digital moves headquarters out of Los Angeles area

Disk drive maker Western Digital Corp. has moved its corporate headquarters to San Jose from Irvine, California, but says it will maintain significant operations in Irvine.

Western Digital, which was founded in Santa Ana in 1970, moved its headquarters to its Great Oaks campus in San Jose, but Irvine will remain the main location for business management, engineering and functional support teams, reported the Orange County Register.
