'Stairway to Heaven' Oahu hiking trail's days could be numbered
The Honolulu Board of Water Supply, which spends about $160,000 a year for security at the popular Haiku Stairs hiking trail in Windward Oahu, popularly known as “Stairway to Heaven,” is moving ahead with its plans to remove the stairs, according to recently revealed public documents.
