Legislature finds compromise on property taxes, school finance
High-priority bills addressing rising property taxes and school finance appear to have found a resolution in the waning days of the legislative session.
The Big Three of Gov. Greg Abbott, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick and House Speaker Dennis Bonnen on May 23 announced lawmaker compromises on House Bill 3 and Senate Bill 2, according to the Austin American-Statesman.
