Hunters Point Shipyard soil sample retesting reveals elevated levels of radioactive material
S.F. health officials have said that soil samples do not present an immediate risk to public health, but the results cast further doubt over the safety and timing of a massive redevelopment effort planned at the shipyard. In response to the results, the Navy said it is revamping its testing procedure to improve accuracy and precision.
