Amazon just keeps growing in Austin; Sources say company is leasing rest of Domain tower
A couple of months ago, Amazon pledged a hiring spree in Austin. Sources say the tech titan is going even bigger than initially planned within a new tower rising at The Domain in North Austin. It all comes after Amazon committed to adding 800 more corporate jobs here. It already employs more than 1,000 white-collar workers in Austin — not counting the thousands of workers within Whole Foods Market’s headquarters and the thousands more inside regional distribution facilities. In fact, Amazon is about to give Apple a run for its money on ABJ’s largest employers list.
