Viewpoint: To prevent retail, restaurant carnage, we've got to get creative
We have a saying in journalism: There are no dumb questions. And in this time of pandemic-induced economic crisis, there is no idea, no suggestion, no proposal to help small businesses too dumb to consider.
Our leaders in San Francisco, Oakland and every corner of the Bay Area should listen to any and all ideas. And they should be prepared to act as swiftly as emergencies allow to help save as many small businesses as possible. Our region’s future depends on it.
