Skanska to assess the embodied carbon of new US construction projects
The expanded program uses a tool called EC3, or the Embodied Carbon in Construction Calculator, which was developed in Seattle. Use of the tool found a 30% reduction in embodied carbon is typically achievable for little or no cost, according to Skanska.
