One of D.C.'s largest parking management firms seeks bankruptcy protection

Parking Management Inc., one of Greater Washington’s largest and longest-standing parking operators, has filed for bankruptcy protection as the ongoing coronavirus outbreak has exacerbated a slump in demand.

PMI filed for Chapter 11 Thursday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Greenbelt. CEO Kingdon Gould III, in a declaration filed as part of the case, said the District-based company’s fortunes have been eroded by factors including an increase in teleworking and ride-sharing services such as Uber.…
