Extended stay-at-home order ‘devastating’ to Oahu restaurants, says HRA

As Oahu restaurants brace for another two weeks of dining room closures with the extension of the stay-at-home order, the Hawaii Restaurant Association worries how the extended shutdown will impact the industry.

“A lot of restaurants are saying that they will probably not reopen their doors,” Sheryl Matsuoka, executive director of HRA, told Pacific Business News earlier this week after Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell announced that the order would be in effect through Sept. 24.
