Demolition paves way for College Park's 202-acre mixed-use plan (PHOTOS)
The planned $480 million Packing District mixed-use development in Orlando’s College Park neighborhood kicked off with the demolition of a 160,682 square-foot building.
Portions of the former Gemaire Distributors Inc. warehouse at 2519 N. Orange Blossom Trail still can be seen above the safety fence but rubble covers most of the 13-acre site. Decorative iron fencing surrounds the main entrance and the glass door is intact while concrete crunches beneath the shovel of a front-end loader.
