Blackstone to buy Maui's Grand Wailea resort for $1.1B: Reports
Blackstone Group LP is buying the Grand Wailea resort on Maui from Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund for a reported $1.1 billion, according to several reports.
Blackstone Group (NYSE: BX) is buying the 776-room resort, which is branded under and managed by Hilton’s Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, from GIC Pte, according to reports by Bloomberg and Real Estate Alert quoting a person with knowledge of the deal. Representatives for the buyer and the seller declined to comment, Bloomberg reports.
