Angelika Film Center in Plano closes after 20 years, arthouse theater chain announces
The theater provided a unique outlet for residents of the DFW suburb to see lesser-known indie and foreign films on the big screen. The announcement of the closure comes as another chain, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, said that it would be closing its locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area after filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy.
