Amazon and Apple: Los Angeles is the ultimate HQ2 wild card
Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti posted a GIF of a celebrating Kermit the Frog on his Twitter (NYSE: TWTR) yesterday after his city was named one of the 20 finalists for a second headquarters for Amazon.com (Nasdaq: AMZN)
“When you’re the only West Coast city on the list of 20 finalists for #AmazonHQ2,” Garcetti said.
Los Angeles and Denver were the only two Western markets to make the final cut for the $5 billion second headquarters for Seattle-based Amazon.
